Since 1994 at the State University of Tajikistan in Dushanbe, the author and groups of his students have been collecting varied oral material related to beliefs and superstitions of the Tajik people.  After the thesis presented some years ago by his disciple D. Rahimi, the author briefly introduces in the present paper a collection of omens (Tajik Persian: shugun) related to varied aspects of everyday life, from the regions of Bukhara and Baysun in Uzbekistan, and Dushanbe, Hisar and Kulab in Tajikistan.  Unfortunately, no typological study is involved here, and the conditions of the collection of these materials have not been specified.
