The author introduces a mukhammas of Fazli’s literary repertory, the Majmu‘a-yi sha‘iran lithographed in Tashkent in 1900, linked with a ghazal by the fifteenth-century poet Nawayi.  Her study stresses the more or less subtle lexical substitutions implemented by Fazli on Nawayi’s text.
