This article very shortly depicts the collection of late-nineteenth and early-twentieth-century documents of Muhammad-Rahim Bay b. Mirza Rahim Bay, a landowner from the village of Tutak (district of Istrawshan), preserved by his great-grandson ‘Ibad-Allah Amakoff, a local schoolteacher. Written in Persian and Chaghatay languages, bearing seals from local qazis and Russian firms, the documents are divided into two categories: (1) bills of sale of lands (irrigated or not), of gardens, shops, mills and other assets, as well as lists of tax payers and tax receipts; (2) juridical bills of varied sort (nomination to public charges, marriage and divorce certificates, notarial deeds, judicial documents).
