This beautifully written and illustrated article by traveller and photographer J. Fuchs is the shortened narrative of an eight-month groundbreaking journey on the roads of the tea trade between China, Inner Asia, and the subcontinent. The many populations and cultures encountered (especially Khampas of Eastern Tibet) are evoked indeed through their relation with tea culture and/or consumption, but also through their participation in continental trade.
